You don't have to drink to sing just sign up. Have fun!
Usually there is no cover charge at all, no matter the day.
Yes
No cover charges
Had so much fun here drinking Moscow Mules during happy hour! There was karaoke too and they had a few really good singers so it wasn't too bad on the ears. The bartender was also very entertaining even though he said he hadn't been working there for long. Overall great experience!
This place is so much fun! Great for a night out with friends. The staff is super friendly. And i love that there are 2 bars and different vibes. Drinks are pretty good! Definitely recommend!!!
This place is dope! I wasnt able to stay very long, but it was such a fun atmosphere with a good crowd. Hopefully I get to fo back soon.
This relatively small hidden gem was fantastic for karaoke on a Thursday. The bartenders were pleasant, the entertainment was fun, and although crowded the spot was enjoyable. There is a smaller bar on the back side, but it was empty and not sure it was even manned. But certainly a small fun spot!!! Enjoy!
I love the happy hour here! Good deals, fun environment. I really enjoyed the Karaoke and how everyone can sing whenever they want.
Great place to enjoy karaoke downtown!!! Good food, great time!
They have great energy for karaoke. And u can pick your songs before u even arrive.
Great service and polite enough staff. Prices aren’t insane and the party and crowd are on point. A good time!
One of the best dive bars ever, but tiny. Gets very crowded quickly. A mix of people from all different places and professions makes a great atmosphere here. Bartender's are awesome!
The perfect joint for a hit & run Martini!
Fun and cozy! Drinks are well made and it’s a great place for karaoke. DJ even has karaoke in other languages for our out of town guests. Seating is limited and karaoke list fills up fast, so get there early!
I am here consistently! Not of recent due to COVID but I cannot wait for them to open back up so I can hog the mic. Drinks are awesome and well priced. I love Manny the DJ and the bartenders are super nice and my signature drink is always perfect. Please go away COVID so I can drag my friends to this hidden gem and order nonstop mules. XOXO Ann C. 😁
Nice!!! Crowd changes very often. Karaoke is very fun but, the list is long. Check the drink specials daily. Whiskey $8 a shot. Cover for guys $5, Really cool place. 👍
It's hard for me to give less than 4 starts for anywhere with kareoke. Vibe is nice, staff is good. Drinks are, well, drinks.
I love this place. Almost like a hidden gem in Chicago. I love their wings, fries, and their pizza. The drinks are good. Always a fun crown with karaoke. I love that it’s two sides. It’s enough to accommodate any type of party, gathering, birthday celebration, etc. The staff are friendly people who are attentive and very prompt with serving food and drinks. I actually cannot wait to go back to this place.
Dive bar at best. And not a cool one. Just a sad one with sad people and sad bartenders.
This was an awesome time. 2 birthdays and a bridal party. The bride and her sister were amazing singers. And not bad to look at either. Haha
Great karaoke bar. The line to sing can get pretty long, but it's not like you will be bored or lacking food and drink options while you wait.
A go to for some weekend fun in the city center. Pricy due to location but if you have cash to blow why not
This place was really neat. Cool bartender, mellow environment. Happy hour specials were great! Definitely a break from the feel of downtown Chicago.
Happy hour drinks were weak, but the Karaoke DJ was cool
This is, seriously, a hidden gem. Great karaoke, good drinks, and good vibes. Tell Manny Aaron sent you!
They fill their branded liquor bottles with cheaper knockoff liquors. I ordered a bacardi drink and received a cocktail that tasted strongly of coconut. Thinking I might have accidentally received Malibu rum, I returned to the bar to have my drink made again. The bar tender remade the drink and I personally watched them use the plain Bacardi bottle. Several friends tried my drink, and everyone agreed that it tasted like Coconut and not Bacardi. If you’re going to refill your Bacardi bottles, at least choose a plain clear rum and not a coconut flavored rum.The response to this review is disappointing. I’m in my 30s. I had multiple friends with me who tasted the drinks. I had 2 cocktails that night. I know what I tasted.
Gave this place three stars because it isn’t a “speakeasy”. In the true sense of a speakeasy this isn’t a probation style, secret place. However, not a bad bar, if your looking for a decent place to have a good local drink, it’s okay. If your looking for a speakeasy this isn’t it, don’t let the name fool you.
Very kind staff, fun karaoke, pizza & fries, and awesome drinks! I would totally go again. Makes a great and fun night out.
A nice dimly lit bar with great cocktails and regular bottles
Nicely decorated to match an old speakeasy. The two separate areas is great because you can be in one room and enjoy the live music or karaoke and walk into the other room and have a nice conversation in a drink. Bartenders are really nice and the drinks are strong. Also door accessibility through both sides of the bar was a nice touch. Love this place.
Everything About this place rocks. Karaoke all week long 7 days a week! The staff is great and Monday’s Rock!
They made my 50th birthday memorable. Had a blast singing great hits from when I was in high school and beyond. We ended the night dancing to The Percolator. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to the grown and sexy. A lot of fun with a mixed crowd.
My go-to happy hour spot because they have karaoke and if you aren’t into that you can go to the back room.
Fun place for martinis, bar nibbles, and karaoke. Martinis were expensive but worth it. My favorite was the "cuddle party" martini.
Great atmosphere. Great happy hour prices. Loved the karaoke. Moscow mules were a bit watery
Went on New Year's Day night and it was pretty quiet which was nice. Had a fun atmosphere and the bartender was awesome. Drinks were all great; I highly recommend the Montauk mule! Easy to get to as well.
My future husband and I fell in love at your establishment. I can't thank you enough for having the right ambiance. We will be back.
Perfect lighting. Place was good. Great services. Food was awesome. Drinks collection was wonderful.
It was requested that I share why I gave 2 stars - fair enough. It was sweltering hot (this was not Summer, it was April 7) and we were sweating like crazy, the bartender was anything but friendly and very uninterested in anyone or anything except one small group of people at the bar, the karaoke host was fairly uninterested and useless and kept disappearing (it's mostly automated by machine anyway), the microphone was terrible, and the group of 3-4 apparent regulars was just completely obnoxious and rather rude. This was for my friend, not me, but neither one of us would make an effort to come back.
Great place for a casual hangout. Love the vibe and kind of cheap booze. The place was crowded mostly with college going students.
Love this hidden "GEM!!" The atmosphere is quaint, friendly, dim, dark, and warm.... and the camaraderie every time is consistent. Just get there early if you want to sing and get a table, as there are many regulars who frequent the place. They also do have a small bar menu which is very delectable I must say....
Had a great time karaoke-ing.It's the perfect spot for a night out.
I love it here! Good vibes. Lots of fun! If you want the turn up, come out on Friday and Saturday. If you like to sing a lot and don't like crowds..During the week is great!
We attended the New Years Eve Party at Brando's Speakeasy. In a nutshell, it was underwhelming. The tickets stated there would be a "Premium Dinner Buffet W/Sweet Table." That did not happen. There were no desserts or sweets at all. The "dinner" was also catered fried chicken which was cold and dry, pasta which was also cold, and rolls with butter. This was served on styrofoam plates with plastic cutlery. This made it hard to even eat the chicken, given it's dryness. The drinks were fine. The atmosphere was okay. Women's restrooms were severely lacking as their were a total of two one-stall bathrooms available. There were not enough seats for everyone and many were standing most of the night. There was also a lack of many of the typical speakeasy characteristics. Would not recommend overall -- very pricey for what we got!
I went during happy hour on a Monday night. I ended up having their Boiler Maker to drink and Rita Mae flatbread to eat (both on special). The Rita Mae was really good. It had a good crowd up front, but not packed (they also had a seating area in the back I did not check out which looked more well lit than the front). I came here because I enjoy speakeasy atmospheres, and this place for the bill well. Beers ranged from $3-8 and specialty drinks were $12-15. They do Karaoke on request.
Nothing like drinking old fashioned's all night singing Sinatra tunes in Chicago. Karaoke starts pretty early and they have excellent drink specials.
Fun place. Go to the back bar if it's open for faster service. Staff is welcoming considering how blasted most folks are. 🤣
Always an interesting crowd and great music on a Friday or Saturday night. Drinks I think are watered down but they sure give you a big portion.
Very fun and diverse. Everyone loves to sing and respects anyone who chooses to do so. Exceptional environment. A must do in the Chicago area.
Always packed but the drinks and atmosphere are always on point!
Nice moody spot for a drink and some karaoke with friends. Dark, speakeasy vibe with leather booths, art nouveau decor and two sections for singing. Happy hour options for food and drink are not too bad.
Visiting from Detroit we stumbled upon Brandon's. Happy hour until 7 every day. Good place for bar food and people watching.
Not a speakeasy by any means. At all. Very hot inside. They have a loud karaoke in the front and insisted on having “pub trivia” for like 5 people in the back. A mullet of a bar of you ask me.
